The COVID-19 pandemic has caused increased levels of food insecurity for college students, and students of color are disproportionately impacted. Food insecurity now impacts nearly one-third of college students at four-year institutions and nearly two-thirds of students at two-year institutions. 

Speakers will include Pennsylvania State Representatives Malcolm Kenyatta and Mike Schlossberg and Congresswoman Susan Wild. Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey and First Lady Frances Wolf will provide video remarks during the symposium.

The Symposium will be held in Miller Forum, Moyer Hall, registration is required. The event is free and open to the public but masks are required. Light refreshments will be served.
