Hadassah, the women’s Zionist organization of America, is a volunteer women’s organization whose local branches serve the women of the Lehigh Valley.

Our services to the community include local meetings where we provide the most recent updates on medical advances and cutting-edge research at Hadassah’s medical facilities and bi-monthly discussion groups on Jewish topics, including short stories by Jewish writers. Hadassah members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel and to realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.

Founded in 1912, Hadassah retains the passion and timeless values of its founder, Henrietta Szold, Jewish scholar and activist, who was dedicated to Judaism, Zionism and the American ideal.

In Israel, Hadassah initiates and supports pacesetting health care, education and youth institutions and land development to meet the country’s changing needs.

In the United States, Hadassah enhances the quality of American Jewish life through its education and Zionist youth programs, promotes health awareness and provides personal enrichment and growth for its members

Bethlehem-Easton Hadassah is known for its annual concert and reception. We also have monthly study group meetings that take place in members’ homes, during which we alternate between film and book discussions.

We serve Bethlehem, Easton and smaller surrounding communities. We are a small but loyal group of women, eager to embrace all who want to support the important work—especially in the field of medicine and medical research—done by Hadassah in Israel and the activities here at home like Young Judaea. Our monthly board meetings, study group and general meetings are open to all.
