Congregation Keneseth Israel is a warm, friendly, spiritual and dynamic congregation, whose Sisterhood, Brotherhood and Youth groups offer members a community where the exchange of thoughts and ideas is encouraged. Our doors to Jewish life are open to all; to those wanting to worship and study, to those seeking comfort, to those celebrating the cycles of life, to those who want to learn more about their Jewish identity and to those who want to become part of our community. A spirit of enthusiasm is alive at Congregation Keneseth Israel. It is a place of strength and beauty where prayer is meaningful and participatory, and people reach out to one another during times of celebration and sadness. All are welcome at Keneseth Israel. 

We strive to serve the diverse needs of singles and families, Jews of all races, cultures and sexual orientations, adults and children with special needs, as well as Jews-by-choice, interfaith families and the unaffiliated.

Founded in 1903, Keneseth Israel has continued to perpetuate and strengthen Reform Judaism. Within the Temple buildings are our sanctuary, religious school, social hall, multipurpose room, library, gift shop, kitchen and administrative offices. Our extensive Judaica library contains approximately 5,000 volumes and subscribes to 25 periodicals. 

Keneseth Israel is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism and the Central Conference of American Rabbis.

MISSION STATEMENT
The purposes of Congregation Keneseth Israel are to promote the enduring and fundamental principles of Judaism, to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people, to enable its members to develop a relationship with God by providing communal worship, study and assembly (Beit Tifila, Beit Midrash and Beit K’nesset) and to apply the principles of Reform Judaism to the values and conduct of the individual, family and society in which we live.
